Have you ever missed a gospel choir in a movie? There are plenty of places where you can enjoy a gospel ceremony in New York, especially in Harlem or Brooklyn. There are more and less tourist-focused places, in which you seldom find any parishioners and they sell the CD in the exit.
There is a particular one that we enjoy, and we never miss the chance to schedule a Sunday in Harlem, starting at 11am in the Antioch Baptist Church where you will live one of those experiences that you won’t forget, in all senses. Try to make it not too late, so that you can find a good place and let yourself access into surprise.
When it is over, the route has to continue with a brunch at Sylvia’s restaurant, where they celebrate Gospel Sundays and you can continue to enjoy gospel music live.
